Barbera d'Asti Superiore DOCG "San Sebastiano"
aged in barrique

In the vineyard of the region San Sebastiano in Cocconato d'Asti, which takes its name from the small votive church, from which comes the name of this organic Barbera are grown the grapes from which this wine is produced.

The maximum wine production per hectare is 50 hectolitres.

After a selective manual harvest, with selection of perfectly ripe Barbera grapes, follows the traditional vinification in purity with soft pressing using only the must "fiore". Natural and spontaneous alcoholic fermentation is carefully controlled until maceration which continues for 20/25 days. After malolactic fermentation, 12 months of ageing in barrique..

Tasting notes

It has an intense ruby red color with garnet hints. Complex and full nose, with clear hints of red fruit, cherry and vanilla, all extremely balanced. Subtle, enveloping spicy notes, gentle mentholated notes. In the mouth it is elegant and warm and refines into an ever vinous bouquet. Vein of freshness decisive for the long duration and savory persistence.
